My name is Jonathan M. Sweet, the writer/artist of Belch Dimension Comics (http://www.freewebs.com/smokingcatcomicsandcollectibles/bdcthumbnailgallery.htm).I used to work with Kat White and Ken Prince on The Herald, back in the good old days, and I was floored to learn he just died. My god, he was only two years older than I. I'll always remember Ken as an affable guy, never without a smile on his face or a kind word to share with a fellow scribe. As a cartoonist he had his own distinctive style, very different from Lance Turner's Trudeau-inspired caricatures, Antonio Guistino's thick, bold outlines, Kat's wide-eyed anime characters, or my own minimalist homages to Tex Avery. I only wish I had gotten to know him outside of the confines of the office. Is there room in the mourner's section for an old journalistic pariah?
