On the road with Alice. Heading towards texarkana for a quilt show. Should be interesting. Will post my illustrationfriday later. Hugs to ladykeats & Doug.
i'm in the beginning stage of learning to quilt. alice has promised to teach me. 8^)
at the show, they had where you could sew a block for quilts to be given to a children's charity. the pieces were pre-cut and all you had to do was sew. that was educational. lol i must have sewn stuff backwards several times, but the ladies there were so patient and friendly. it reminds me of what alice said...that quilters were some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. knitters, too. 8^) it was fun. i think you'll like it.
my first quilt will be a small wall hanging to be a headboard for my bed. crackerbox pattern with colors to match 2 david mack prints i want to hang in my room.
i also found a pattern at this show for a bag that would be perfect for my sketchbook, pens, copics, etc. 8^) i'm looking forward to sewing it very much.
